Two people have been wounded in a suspected gang-related shooting on the M-4 freeway in Port Elizabeth.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says the wounded victims were a man and a woman travelling in the bakkie on Tuesday morning.
She said its alleged that the occupants of a bakkie, which was travelling towards the city, came under fire from the occupants of a car which had pulled up alongside the bakkie.
Naidu said the man was hit twice by bullets while the woman was wounded in the legs.
Both victims were taken to hospital.
No arrests have yet been made.
