The 19-year-old's body was discovered earlier this month, in a communal toilet near her home.
Two men appeared in court this week in connection with her rape and murder.
Today, her family will say their last farewells with the help of some Cape Town residents who raised funds for the funeral arrangements.
Mafevuka’s cousin Sibongiseni Nzima says, “Because of the community and others who heled us, we’ve arranged that [the funeral] and will find comfort after."
