PORT ELIZABETH - COLD BLOODED KILLERS MERCILESSLY GUN DOWN WALMER ANC CANDIDATE COUNCILLOR

The ANC candidate councillor in Walmer ward four, in Port Elizabeth, has been gunned down.

Nceba Dywili was shot dead in Zwide on Tuesday night.

He was dropping off a colleague when two suspects approached them and opened fire outside the woman's house.

“He had several bullets in his upper body and his left hip. The lady was also shot, she is in hospital in stable condition,” said South African Police Service (SAPS) constable Mncedi Mbombo.

Police are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder.

Mbombo said no arrests had yet been made and investigations were continuing.

The killing occured on the eve  a media briefing by Police Minister Nathi Nhleko on the task team set up to investigate the recent alleged political killings. He is expected to speak from noon on Wednesday.

At least 13 people have been killed across the country in recent months, in what are believed to be politically motivated killings, in the run-up to next week’s local government elections.
