A suspect was also arrested during the early hours of Friday morning, 19 August, in Stag Street in Gelvandale with .22 rifle in his possession.While conducting random stop and searches in the area, police spotted the suspicious looking man who immediately started to run when he saw them. He was arrested in a yard in Stag Street.
It was established that the firearm was stolen in the Uitenhage area.
