Port Elizabeth police say a 7-year old girl, Sonja Payi was abducted by an unknown male in Mbilini Road, New Brighton, on Saturday night.
Police captain André Beetge says the incident happened at around 7pm when she and a friend were returning from the Meza shop and apparently, a male dressed in a black top with red takkies took her by the hand and walked off.
The girl was wearing purple tracksuit pants, blue jean jacket and also wearing red takkies.
She has not been seen since.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact their nearest police station or New Brighton detectives.
