Port Elizabeth Flying Squad recovered a hijacked vehicle. 1 suspect was shot and killed after firing at police.
On Thursday, 15 September 2016, at 12:50 a vehicle - fitted with a Tracker - was hijacked in the Motherwell area. The Port Elizabeth Flying Squad spotted the vehicle and gave chase.
A person jumped out of the vehicle and fired shots at the police members. The SAPS returned fire and one suspect was fatally wounded.
The hijacked vehicle was recovered by the PE K9 Unit. Two firearms were seized on the scene.
