The Provincial Gang Investigation Unit is investigating a case of attempted murder in Gelvandale, Port Elizabeth.Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu said the 35 year old victim and a friend were walking in Goliath Street on Sunday afternoon when they noticed three men approaching from another direction.
She said two of the men were armed and one suspect started firing at the duo who started to run.
The victim sustained three gunshot wounds to the head, arm and leg and is in a serious condition in hospital.
Colonel Naidu said the suspects are known to the victims but no arrests have been made yet.
The Provincial Gang Investigation Unit is investigating two cases of attempted murder.
