In a quest for creating a gun free society, the OR Tambo District members continues in seizing illegal firearms and arresting those found in possession of illegal firearms.The National Intervention Unit members followed up on an information about a man who was in possession of an unlicensed firearm at Lugxogxo locality in Baziya yesterday, 29 October 2019 at about 18h45. An Uzzi machine gun with three rounds was seized.
Lastly, a 58 year old man was arrested by Ngqeleni Vispol members after they followed an information at Ndonga locality Nqanda A/A today at about 01:30. He was found in possession of a 9mm Luger pistol with two rounds of ammunition.
Both suspects will be appearing before their respective courts today facing charges of possession of unlicensed firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.
