A 33-year old Eastern Cape man has been sentenced to 11 years direct imprisonment for the murder of his 26-year old girlfriend.Police Captain Mali Govender says Zwelenzima Christopher Blou from Bathurst was sentenced on Friday for the murder of Vuyokazi Zondani.
She says Blou and Zondani were embroiled in a domestic argument at Thembisa Location in March 2018, when she ended her relationship with him.
She says he then took a knife and stabbed her in the neck.
She died at the scene.
Govender says he was arrested two hours later by members of the Bathurst police.
