PORT ELIZABETH - POLICE SEEK NEXT OF KIN OF KINI BAY DROWNING VICTIM

Detectives at SAPS Kabega Park are appealing to anyone who can assist in identifying and tracing the next of kin of a man who drowned in Kini Bay in November 2019.

According to police information, on 07 November 2019 at about 06:00, workers cleaning the beach spotted a male, approximately 30 years old, walking into the sea in Kini Bay and he never came out. At about 11:00 the same day, his body washed ashore.

At the time of the drowning, he was wearing blue jeans and a black jacket. It was established through enquiries in the area that the deceased may be a vagrant as he was seen often walking in Seaview and Kini Bay.

Anyone who may know him or his next of kin is asked to contact D/WO Bertus Blom at SAPS Kabega Park on 082 303 0064 or 041 397 6833 or the nearest police station. An inquest docket is opened.
