EASTERN CAPE - UNKNOWN ASSAILANT OPENS FIRE ON SLEEPING COUPLE AT THEIR HOMESTEAD, KILLING HUSBAND AND WOUNDING WIFE
Police are investigating a case of murder and attempted in which a couple was attacked at their homestead at Rasmeni Administrative Area during the night of 14 May 2020.
It is alleged that the deceased (56) was sleeping together with his wife when an armed suspect kicked the door open and fired shots at them.
The man died on the scene while his wife was injured and rushed to hospital.
A case of murder and attempted murder were opened.
Police are following up on leads and appeal to anyone who can assist with information that can lead to the successful arrest of the perpetrator to please contact Station Commander, Captain Matomane at 073 309 5022 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111
