Police in Port Elizabeth are once again advising the public to be extra cautious when going to discard of their rubbish at the Arlington dumping site in Walmer.
Spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says the warning follows after yet another robbery in which a 34-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint on Friday.
It is believed that when he drove onto the site he was approached by five men who jumped onto his Bakkie at about four o clock.
Naidu says at the time he was unaware that they did not work at the site.
They, however, produced a gun and knife and robbed him of his belongings soon after.
Police are further advising people to be extra vigilant of their surroundings and to not accept any assistance from any person at the tip.
PE police have been warning residents since November 2019 to stay away from the tip after several residents were reportedly attacked.
