A 9mm pistol and 33 rounds of ammunition was found hidden in the door panels in the shop.
Ownership of the firearm is still being determined.
The firearm was confiscated and an enquiry docket was opened for further investigation.
No arrests were made.
The firearm will be sent to ballistics for analysis.
