PE K9 unit members arrested a 27 year old housebreaking suspect late last night.
It is alleged that at about 23:25, the members responded to a complaint of a housebreaking in progress at a business premises in Govan Mbeki Street in Central.
On arrival, members found the front door of premises damaged. Patrol dog, Bart was released to search for possible suspects inside the building.
Bart successfully flushed out one suspect.
He is detained on a charge of housebreaking.
He will appear in court soon.
Detective officers across the metro conducted a special operation on Wednesday evening, (06 January; 21:00 until this morning, 07 January 2021, 05:00) where they succeeded in arresting 38 wanted suspects. The suspects were detained on various charges ranging from among others drunken driving, house robbery, theft and possession of drugs.
