A 33-year-old male was arrested on Sunday, 26 September 2021 and detained on charges of illegal possession of a firearm, ammunition and drugs.
The arrest was effected after Cookhouse Visible policing members were patrolling when they stopped and searched a man on the N10 highway.
A 9mm firearm, 8 rounds of ammunition and 3 packets of tik were confiscated.
The firearm will be sent for ballistic testing.
The suspect will appear in court soon on the mentioned charges.
