On 03 January 2022 at about 21:30 members of the SAPS Anti-Gang Unit arrested a 38-year-old male suspect for the possession of stolen goods.
This followed after the members searched a suspicious male sitting in a vehicle in Cuyler Street, Central, and confiscated two (2) stolen cellphones which he had in his possession.
On further follow up, the place of residence of the suspect was also searched, and a further ten (10) cellphones, a laptop and an Apple watch was confiscated.
The suspect was arrested and a case of possession of stolen goods was opened against him at Humewood SAPS.
He will be appearing before the PE Magistrates Court tomorrow, 05 January 2022 to face the charges.
