SAPS Kabega Park detectives opened a case of attempted murder after a shooting incident at a shopping centre in Gqeberha this afternoon.
It is alleged that today at approximately 13:35 the victim, aged 21, was sitting outside the entrance at a shopping mall in Kabega Park policing area with co-workers.
While sitting and talking, a shot was fired and the victim fell to the ground.
The victim sustained an injury in the upper leg and was taken to hospital.
The motive for the shooting is unknown and a case of attempted murder was opened, the investigation is ongoing.
