NELSON MANDELA BAY - MUNICIPALITY TO SHUTDOWN WATER SUPPLY TO THESE AREAS FOR COMPLETION OF DROUGHT RELIEF WORK
The Municipality wishes to notify residents that the City requires a 48-hour shutdown of the Chelsea reservoir to perform critical drought relief work.
The shutdown is scheduled for Tuesday, February 15, 2022. This will allow the maintenance team to connect the suction pipeline for the new KwaNobuhle pumpstation to the 900mm pipeline of the Chelsea reservoir.
This shutdown will also allow the Municipality to complete other critical tasks that may aid in the relief of the drought in the KwaNobuhle area.
To safely complete the aforementioned work, the Chelsea reservoir must be emptied.
While we have made every effort to ensure that water is maintained in the majority of areas, we anticipate that some areas may experience water outages during this time.
Residents may experience low water pressure or water disruptions in the following areas:
1.Rowallan Park
2.Francis Evatt Park
3.Hunters Retreat
