Police are searching for at least two suspects that opened fire on a white VW Polo in Koliti Street, Ikamvelihle yesterday 31 March 2022 at about 20:40.
This vehicle was driving into a driveway of a home in Koliti Street, when two unknown suspects also entered the yard and started shooting at the vehicle and its occupants.
The 38-year-old driver and a 29-year-old passenger passed away on the scene.
Another 35-year-old male was injured in the incident and is receiving medical treatment.
The suspects fled the scene after the shooting, and the motive for the attack is still being investigated.
Murder and attempted murder cases were opened by Ikamvelihle SAPS, and the investigation is being led by the Eastern Cape Provincial Organised Crime Investigation Unit (POCI).
