NELSON MANDELA BAY | LATEST WATER DISRUPTIONS TO AFFECT THE GREATER PART OF THE METRO

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality would like to inform residents that the demand on the Western supply dams remains much higher than the restrictions imposed by the Department of Water and Sanitation.

This is causing supply issues in certain areas of the City. 

The Kromme water system has been restricted by 70% however, the Metro has only been able to achieve about a 10% reduction at this source. 

Less production would result in immediate water disruptions as the demand outweighs the supply however, is vital that reduction in abstraction happens immediately to avoid the source from completely failing.

Areas that may experience low pressure or water disruptions include:
