SAPS Algoa Park detectives arrested three suspects today, 17 January 2023, for the alleged murders of two teenagers on Thursday 22 December 2022.
It is alleged that on the mentioned date at about 02:00, SAPS Algoa Park attended to a complaint of a body of a person lying in a yard in Bloekom Street.
On arrival they found the body of an 18-year-old teenager with multiple stab wounds.
A few metres away, at the corners of Bloekom and Swarthout Streets, the body of a second teenager, also 18-years-old, was found lying with multiple stab wounds.
Both teenagers are from Missionvale and were identified as Elthan Jonathan De Jager and Riaan Schutte.
Since the murders, police have been working around the clock in search of the suspects.
The suspects aged 21, 22 and 32 years old were arrested at their houses in Algoa Park.
They are detained on two charges of murder and are expected to appear in the Gqeberha magistrate court on Thursday, 19 January 2023. The motive for the murders are under investigation.
