Police in Gqeberha are investigating the murder of a doctor who was shot dead in his surgery.
Spokesperson, Captain Andre’ Beetge said the incident happened at around 19.20 on Wednesday evening.
He said four male suspects entered and shot and killed 56-year-old Dr Bantu Noqekwa in his surgery in Njoli Street in Kwazakhele.
Beetge said it is still unclear if anything was taken from the premises, nor if the gunmen fled on foot or in a vehicle.
The motive for the shooting is not yet known and a case of murder is under investigation.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation to contact Kwazakhele SAPS.
