On Monday 1 February 2016 at about 11:00, the badly decomposed body of a woman was found in dense bushes near Damaskus farm in Booysens Park, Bethelsdorp. According to police information, the owner of a dog found the hound feeding on the remains of a human hand. The owner summoned police and the rest of the torso was found. The identity of the woman is unknown.
