ALIWAL NORTH - 78 YEAR OLD ROBBED AND MURDERED IN HIS HOME

The small town of Aliwal North was left in shock after the alleged murder of a 78 year old man. The man’s body was found in his Durban Street home in Aliwal North. The deceased was last seen between the 27 -28 February 2016. The neighbours became suspicious when there was no sign of him and went to his house to investigate.  They entered the house through the back door and found the deceased lying on the bedroom floor with visible wounds on the upper body and head.

A case of murder was opened on 28 February 2016. His Red Isuzu Bakkie ,  KB 250 with Reg. nr BGM  931 EC  was stolen from his home as well as TV’s , a laptop ,cell phones and his fire arm.

Police is appealing to the community to be on the lookout for the vehicle and the suspect/s. The suspects may be armed and dangerous and the community is cautioned not to approach them but instead to contact the investigating officer Sgt Booysen on 082 302 53 08 or Sgt Mlindazwe 083 858 4 785.
