The annual Splash Festival has become a popular event in the Nelson Mandela Bay metro over the Easter Week-end. The weather is still good this time of the year and the festival aims to make the best of the city's pristine beaches. A host of sporting events are also taking part as part of the festival. It is also big income generator for the metro, and this year the festival is bigger than last year.
