PORT ELIZABETH - SUSPECTED SHAUDERVILLE DRUG LORD RELEASED ON R1000 BAIL

A suspected Port Elizabeth drug lord arrested earlier this week appeared in court on Wednesday and was released on R1,000 bail.

Justin Saaise‚ 31‚ was arrested on Tuesday when members participating in Operation Lockdown executed a search warrant at a well-known drug post in Schauderville.

Police spokeswoman Colonel Priscilla Naidu said quantities of the drug known as tik‚ a licenced 9mm firearm‚ ammunition and a substantial amount of cash were seized.

“The distribution and sale of drugs are major contributory factors to gang violence‚ which inevitably affects and compromise the security and safety of innocent community members‚” she said.

“The SAPS is committed to closing all avenues for drug dealers and syndicates.” Saaise appeared in the Gelvandale Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday where he was released on bail and his case was postponed to July 18.
