Motorists can expect a huge drop in the fuel price next month, as South Africa reaps the benefit of a weak oil price and a stronger rand.
The Automobile Association says mid-month data has petrol poised for a drop of up to 83 cents a litre, with diesel set for a reduction of 45 cents and illuminating paraffin around 42 cents.
The trend has been towards higher fuel prices over the past months as the rand weakened and oil prices climbed.
Last month petrol increased by 52 cents a litre while diesel went by 76 cents a litre.
