Today at 14:30 members from SAPS KwaNobuhle conducted roadblocks in Melbrooks Avenue, Uitenhage.
During the operation members searched a Mazda 323 and found copper cables concealed in containers inside the vehicle. The three occupants in the vehicle were arrested and detained on a charge of possession of suspected stolen goods.
The copper is estimated to weigh more than 150kg worth more than R50 000. The three male suspects (25, 26 and 31) will appear in the KwaNobuhle Magistrates Court on Monday, 25 July.
