Police in the cluster arrested at least 90 suspects in the past week for various serious and less serious offenses.The crimes ranged from rape, assault, possession of drugs and suspected stolen property to theft, shoplifting and drunk and disorderly behaviour. In one incident, late last week, members of Peddie FCS arrested two men, aged 27 and 28 years, for the rape of a 28-year-old woman. The two suspects are in custody and will appear in court again next month.
Police in the cluster also seized drugs and recovered stolen cars and issued fines for various transgressions. Cluster Commander, Brig DM Kanuka praised all those involved for their successes.
