BUTTERWORTH - HIJACKER KILLS HIMSELF AFTER HIGH SPEED CHASE WITH POLICE

Ngqamakhwe Police in the Eastern Cape, are appealing to community members to assist in identifying the body of a hijacking suspect who shot and killed himself after being cornered by police.Captain, Jackson Manatha, of the Butterworth police, says the deceased and another man hijacked a vehicle in Dutywa on Monday.

The victim who was hijacked informed traffic officials and the vehicle was spotted driving towards the Ngqamakhwe direction.

Captain Manatha says the vehicle stopped after a high speed chase and one suspect ran into a nearby bush.His accomplice drew a fire arm and shot himself.

The search for the other suspect continues
