PORT ELIZABETH - VAGRANT SHOT IN ARM AFTER BREAKING INTO BUSINESS IN MILPARK

At about 06:00 on Saturday morning, 8 October, a 40 year old vagrant was shot in his arm by a security official who responded to an alarm at a business in Milpark, PE.

It is alleged that when the two security officials arrived, they spotted the suspect breaking a window at the premises. The suspect then lashed out at the officers with a stick. He also damaged their vehicle in the process.

As one security guard fired a warning shot, the suspect lunged towards him. He was shot in his arm and was taken to hospital for treatment.

A case of Attempted housebreaking at business premises and Malicious Damage to Property was opened against him.
