On 20 February 2017, members of Tarkastad SAPS followed up on information received from the community regarding alleged illegal hunting activities on a farm Eensaam, in the Tarkastad district.Three suspects, Nico Scheepers (20), Simon Sparks (19) and Simphiwe Ntantiso (23) were found in the possession of one hundred and three (103) Springbucks.
The three accused appeared before court in Tarkastad on charges of Illegal hunting and Unlawful possession of ammunition. The case was postponed until 2017-03-13 and they were released on bail of R1000.00 each. On 2017-03-13 the suspects appeared before the Magistrate’s court in Tarkastad again and the case was postponed until 2017-04-24 for DPP decision.
