A Bloemendal man was shot dead while sitting in a field in Lodewyk Street at about 9am yesterday.Justin Tisane, 25, was shot in the head and chest.
Police spokesman Warrant Officer Alwin Labans said Tisane and two friends had been sitting in the field when three men walked up to them.
“One pulled out a firearm and started shooting,” Labans said. Tisane’s friends escaped unharmed. Two men had been taken in for questioning within an hour of the murder.
Labans said the incident was believed to be gang-related.
