The pipeline has since been shutdown. Repair work will take more time that expected.
The following areas will be without water this morning: College Hill, Penford, Mosel, Levyvale, Strelitzia Park, Winterhoek Park, Fairbridge Heights, Van Riebeeck Hoogte, Valleisig and Scheepers Hoogte. Emergency measures, including water tankers, are being arranged.
