PORT ELIZABETH - ARMED SUSPECTS FLEE WITH R2000 AFTER NORTH END BUSINESS ROBBERY

Port Elizabeth police are searching for three armed suspects, following a business robbery in North End on Saturday morning.

Spokesperson, Col Pricilla Naidu says it is alleged that three men entered a store on the corner of Innes and North Streets at around 7am, and asked the 26-year-old complainant about the price of a case of 2L cold drinks.

She says the suspects then handed him less money than the price given.

Naidu says when the complainant told him to take 1.5 L bottles instead, he was pointed with a firearm and ordered to open the security gate.

She says the complainant and his uncle were tied up with cable ties and the suspects fled with around R2000 in cash.

No-one was injured during the robbery.
