Port Elizabeth police are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder after a 23-year-old man was shot dead in Arcadia on Wednesday morning and his companion wounded in the chest.Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said the body of Ashwin Gosh was found in a pathway between Imbuia and Oosthuizen Streets at around 6 AM after he was last seen three hours earlier.
She says it's alleged that Gosh was shot by an unknown man who had been following him along the pathway.
The gunman also shot and wounded Gosh's 30-year-old companion who was walking with him.
"The deceased was a hairdresser and has no gang affiliation," Naidu said.
The motive for his murder is not yet known and no arrests have been made.
