Port Elizabeth police are hunting for the killers of a couple who were found dead in their home on Monday.Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, said that a friend discovered the bodies of Sonwabo Nquma (52) and his girlfriend, Nomvuyo Nelson (56) in their house in Extension 5 in Greenfields in the Bethelsdorp area.
They were last seen on Saturday.
Janse Van Rensburg said Nquma’s hands and feet were tied and his body was partially burnt. “Nelson’s naked body was found with multiple open wounds on her head,” she said.
An axe was found in the ransacked house.
Police said the motive is yet to be established and are appealing to anyone who may have information to contact the Bethelsdorp police.
