Butterworth Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) arrested a 24-year-old man for alleged rape of a 68-year-old woman. The suspect was arrested on Sunday, 02 June 2019 at Cebe Village, Centane.It is alleged that the suspect arrived at the home of the victim on Tuesday, 28 May 2019 at about 16h00 at Chibini Locality, Cebe Village, Centane. The suspect found the victim alone. He did not say anything but he pushed the victim to the bed where he undressed her and later raped the victim.
The suspect fled the scene. He will appear before the Centane Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 04 June 2019 facing a charge of rape.
