UITENHAGE - 2 ARMED MEN FORCE COUPLE INTO BEDROOM BEFORE STEALING THEIR CASH & TV


Police are investigating a case of robbery after two armed men allegedly targeted a house in Kamesh yesterday.

On Wednesday, 26 June 2019 at about 19:00, a complainant alleged that he was watching television with his girlfriend in the lounge of his house in Cacatha Street, Mandelaville in Kamesh (Uitenhage), when he heard a sound of his dogs barking outside.

He said that he opened a kitchen door to investigate, and that was when two men at the doorway, one armed with firearm held him at gunpoint and forced the two occupants into the bedroom. Suspects stole cash, a television set and a jacket before fleeing the scene on foot.

A complainant sustained a bump on the forehead, after he was hit by a firearm.

Police are urging anyone with information, that could lead to the arrest of the suspects, to contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Mark Bodill at 083 453 5753 or Crime Stop 08600 10111. Callers may remain anonymous and all information will be treated strictly confidential.
