A Port Elizabeth man has been shot dead in what police said was a “targeted killing”.
Police spokesperson, Captain Andre’ Beetge, said that 34-year-old Lutwa Benitwa was gunned down on Sunday outside his home in Buyambo Street in New Brighton.
“He was shot twice, in the head and chest, by unknown attackers,” he said.
Beetge said no valuables were taken and “it is suspected that the murder is a targeted killing”.
A case of murder is being investigated by the Eastern Cape Provincial Organised Crime Unit.
Beetge said anyone who may have information that could assist the police investigation should contact Lt Colonel Willie Mayi at 082 697 5914
