A 40-year-old Schauderville man is appearing in the Gelvandale magistrates’ court this morning on a charge of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.It is alleged that on Monday evening, 01 July 2019 at about 23:30, PE Public Order Policing members received information of a firearm at a house in Lawler Street Schauderville.
A.38 revolver and 4 rounds of ammunition was found hidden in a corner of the room.
The suspect was arrested and detained and investigation revealed that the firearm was reported stolen in Grahamstown in April 2019.
