Community of Fort Malan Village, Willowvale assisted in chasing and catching a 28-year-old man suspected of rape. It is alleged that a 27-year-old woman had paid a visit to her boyfriend on Friday, 02 August 2019 at about 16h00 at Mission Locality, Fort Malan Village, Willowvale.She found her boyfriend drunk and fast asleep. The suspect came and raped the victim. He then run away after the alleged rape. The victim raised an alarm and community members chased the suspect. Police were contacted and found the suspect with the community.
The suspect will appear before the Willowvale Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 05 August 2019 on a rape charge.
