EASTERN CAPE - LOVERS QUARREL TURNS MURDEROUS AFTER BOYFRIEND STABS GIRLFRIEND TO DEATH WHILE CAUGHT WITH ANOTHER GIRLFRIEND

Butterworth Police arrested a 27-year-old man for alleged murder of his girlfriend aged 27. It is alleged that the 27-year-old girlfriend requested her brother to accompany her to the shack of her boyfriend. Both went to the shack of her boyfriend at Skiet Informal Settlement, Butterworth on Friday, 02 August 2019 at about 15h15.

The two found the boyfriend with another girlfriend. The brother of the 27-year-old girlfriend allegedly attacked the girlfriend who was already inside the shack. The boyfriend drew his knife and stabbed the girlfriend on her upper body. She was rushed to Butterworth Hospital where she passed away.

Butterworth Police acted swiftly and arrested the boyfriend and charged him with murder. The suspect will appear before the Butterworth Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 05 August 2019 on a murder charge,
