Police Minister, General Bheki Cele returned to the Northern areas in Port Elizabeth. This is the Minister’s follow up visit in the area following previous reports of incidents of gangsterism.
Minister Cele’s return saw him receive an update on progress made to date by the deployed Anti-Gang Unit in addressing gang related killings and crime gripping communities. The Minister embarked on a walkabout.
The Minister of Police, General Bheki Cele is in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro today visiting the Port Elizabeth's Northern Areas as well as the Motherwell cluster.
He visited a roadblock in Standford Road, meeting and greeting the community.
Cele also conducted an on site visit at Chatty where a new police station will be built.
