A 26-year-old suspect was arrested two hours after a shooting incident occurred in Glendenning Street in Shauderville on Friday night, 06 September 2019.
It is alleged that on Friday, 06 September 2019 at about 19:45, the 21-year-old complainant was standing outside the shop in Glendenning Street with his friends when he saw the suspect walking towards him. The suspect pointed a firearm towards them and fired several shots in their direction. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
The suspect is known to the complainant and, about 22:00, the Anti-Gang Unit members arrested the suspect who was found sitting in a car nearby. He was arrested and detained on a charge of attempted.
He is expected to appear in the Port Elizabeth magistrates’ court on Monday, 09 September 2019.
