Eastern Cape police have shot and killed one suspect and arrested two others after they allegedly robbed the Post Office in Adelaide on Friday morning.
Atlas Security says police requested their assistance in tracing the suspect's getaway vehicle and immediately reviewed footage on their CCTV cameras.
The Director for Altas Security in Port Alfred Clinton Millard says a network of Atlas security cameras flagged the suspicious vehicle, which led to a shoot-out between robbery suspects and police, who were guided to the scene near Kinkelbos.
One suspect was shot whilst two others, who managed to flee on foot, were arrested.
Police also confiscated firearms and an undisclosed amount of cash.
One suspect is still at large.
The suspects allegedly went to the Postmaster in Adelaide's house on Thursday where they demanded the keys and passwords for the Post Office, before tying her up.
They then broke into the Post Office where they stole an undisclosed amount of money.
Authorities confirmed that in the past 24 hours armed gangs robbed the Adelaide and Cala Post Offices while two cash-in-transit heists were reported in Mthatha and Elliotdale
