Ngqamakhwe Police arrested a 41-year-old man for the alleged murder of his elder brother, aged 46. It is alleged the two brothers had a misunderstanding on Tuesday, 17 December 2019 at about 23:00 at their ancestral home which is at Frystat Locality, Vananda Village, Ngqamakhwe.It is further alleged that the victim was armed with an axe but he was stabbed by the suspect on his upper body.
It was only noticed on Wednesday, 18 December 2019 at about 05:00, that he had passed away.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Ngqamakhwe Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 19 December 2019 on a murder charge.
The identity of the deceased will be withheld until all family members are officially informed of his death.
