PORT ELIZABETH - UNKNOWN GUNMEN KICK DOOR DOWN AND EXECUTE MAN IN HIS HOME

Kabega Park police is seeking the community’s assistance in tracing suspects allegedly involved in the murder of a 26-year-old man from Kuyga on Sunday, 19 January 2020.

It is alleged that at about 00:35, Justin Winston Plaatjie of Jansen Drive in Polar Park Kuyga was sleeping inside his shack with his girlfriend when they heard a knock at the door. When they enquired as to who they were looking for, the suspects responded saying that they were looking for Plaatjie. The door was then kicked opened and three shots were fired at Plaatjie who sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The number of suspects and the motive are unclear at this stage.
