Police of Kinkelbos who were on Safer Festive Season patrols on the N2, arrested a 34-year-old male for dealing in drugs (mandrax and dagga).
This followed after the SAPS members pulled over a green Mazda 323 at about 00:40 this morning on the N2 close to Nanaga.
After searching the vehicle, a large bag containing three black bags with a total of 22 kilograms of dagga (estimated street value of R5 000), as well as 10 smaller plastic bags containing a total of 1000 mandrax tablets (estimated street value of R50 000) were discovered in the boot of the vehicle and confiscated.
The 34-year-old suspect from Port Alfred was arrested for dealing in drugs and will be appearing in the Alexandria Magistrate’s Court on Monday 3 February 2020.
