SAPS members from Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offence Unit have arrested a 37-year-old suspect in connection with the alleged rape of 79-year-old woman.
The incident took place at Magwala Administrative Area on Saturday, 01 February 2020. It is alleged that Gogo was sleeping alone in her house while the suspect forcefully entered and raped her. A case of rape was reported and police followed the leads and managed to arrest the perpetrator on Sunday, 02 February 2020.
The suspect was detained and will appear before the Cofimvaba Magistrate Court on Monday, 03 February 2020.
